Saturn
Location: Dennis Sciama Building, University of Portsmouth
Saturn is the 6th planet from the Sun, and the second of the gas giants. It is similar in composition to Jupiter, and is most famous for its system of rings.
Saturn’s rings are made mostly of water ice, frozen into lumps that range in size from a grain of dust to something like the size of a car.
Saturn has over 60 moons, although only 13 are more than 50 km across.
